Peace, I’m a writer and editor with bylines in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Eater, VICE and more. (See a selection of my work below.)
I am also a Womb Wellness educator, raw food vegan chef and herbalist focused on women’s health and holistic nutrition based in Baltimore, Maryland.
Inspired by my own healing journey — involving Womb Wellness, juice fasting and sacred spirituality — I realized there was no dedicated space online for Black women’s holistic healing that wasn’t affected by the white gaze, so I decided to create Other Suns. Other Suns provides a safe space to re-learn the healing ways of our ancestors as divine, indigenous women of this Earth.
As a writer, my work dives into the beauty and depth of Black womanhood and Black American culture. The themes I love to work in are spirituality, Black identity, femininity, health & wellness, vegan food, pop culture, fashion, creativity, self-empowerment, mental health and self-healing.
